Weekend Ramblings | Rest & The Freedom to be Feel Beautiful

Apologies for the belated post, it being Tuesday and all, but things have been a little crazy around here ;)

Last night hubs and I had the most amazing mini-break away at Middedorp Manor in Stellenbosch - truly, it was FANTASTIC to just get one night away from computers and the busyness of everyday life :) I feel like I can breathe a little more easily :)

And then yesterday I was privileged to have an experience that reminded me of something I haven't thought of in a while. Why is it that, as women, we all seem to spend more time finding fault with ourselves? We focus on the imperfections, bemoan the areas that fall short of perfection, and idolize unrealistic representations of beauty. And we forget....that someone finds us beautiful, looking past all our hang-ups as if they aren't even there, seeing us for who we are both inside and out. Isn't it wonderful to have an experience during which you feel beautiful? Without the guilt that sometimes comes along with? I  was blessed to have someone make me feel that way, and my prayer for every single person is that they feel that way too :) If not every day, then often enough to serve as a continuous reminder...

Can't tell you how much I LOVE the decor :)

THE most stunning bathtub, and perfect for relaxing and unwinding :)

Pretty kitty and I am so tracking down that lamp!!

Breakfast for two :)
